Visit
The Castle of Agia Maura is located on the right just before the movable bridge leading to the island of Lefkada.
There is a parking lot nearby the Castle.

Admission to archaeological sites, historical sites, monuments and museums owned by the State and managed by the Hellenic Ministry of Culture and Sports is free of charge for all visitors (without fee payment), on the following dates:

- The last weekend of September annually (European Heritage Days)
- 28 October (National Holiday)
- every first Sunday of each month from November 1st until March 31st
People with disabilities
The Castle of Agia Mavra has a special ramp for wheelchairs and trolleys at the entrance of the Museum and specially designed sanitary facilities (W.C. for the disabled). The landscaped tour route is free of obstacles and the topography of the corridors meets the requirements for disabled movement.
Inside the Museum there is a Braille sign and tactile display for the visually impaired. Guide dogs accompanying people with disabilities are allowed in all areas of the Museum.
Regulations
- It is not allowed to touch the exhibits of the Museum, as well as the systems for hanging and/or protecting the exhibits (display cases, pedestals, showcases, etc.).
- It is permitted to take photographs and videos.
- The use of flash is prohibited inside the Museum, for the protection of objects.
- Smoking and the use of electronic cigarettes is prohibited in the Museum.
- The consumption of food and drink within the Museum is prohibited. Visitors may bring a bottle of water.
- Pets are not allowed inside the Museum. Guide dogs are permitted throughout the Museum.
- Bulky objects, suitcases and baby carriages are not accepted in the Museum.
- When visiting the Castle, visitors are responsible for any item of value (wallet, phone, camera, etc.).
- Dangerous and illegal objects, substances or materials are prohibited in the Castle.
